![]() ![]() ![]() It turns out my dislike for the writer on a personal level was unsurprising: a gay man who pretends to be straight in his book then publically pokes fun at a reader who dared to say on Twitter exactly what I was thinking: ‘ Huh? They’ve made his character gay in the series?’ Googling this brings up a wall of public politeness (wokeness?) refusing to call him on this. I expect that’s why they wrote her in, she’s not really in the book’. ![]() If it wasn’t for the Shruti character I’d have given up on this by now…. Ironically, just at the start of the episode where Shruti’s story took center stage, I actually said out loud to my wife ‘that guy is so toe-curlingly awful.
